We met some really great people at the beginning of the year when we were church shopping! This family lives near us and had also just moved from FL. This weekend I was able to help them do a yard sale to raise money for adoption. They are in the process of adopting a baby from Ehiopia. I made baked good for the girls to sale and then helped them out during the yard sale setting things up. I will say that the weather was horrible (RAIN RAIN!) but I have never seen a more successful yard sale! It was amazing how many people came out for what actually was a "Garge Sale" and how generous people were with them. I am looking forward to helping them out with the next one. SOOO, if any of my local friends who read this have things they are wanting go clean out please do and let me know, I would be happy to pass it along as they take donations for future yard sales!
Since a lot of my Blog readers are not local I thought I would also pass this fund raiser along also. You can go here and order some of these cards from their daughters.
If nothing else, please just pray for this family as they go through this process. It is a lot and I can only imagine the emotional strain it puts on you. I am looking forward to watching them as they walk this road!

You just made my day. Both today in reading this and the day we did the sale. I am so thankful for your friendship and grateful that God crossed our paths.
Thanks for the support and encouragement.
You are very welcome!!
That is so wonderful! Not only that you helped them, but that they are making so many sacrifices to bring a disadvantaged child into their home to be loved. I want to adopt one day, but I don't know that my husband is quite on board with that idea. Maybe one day I'll convince him.
