Awesome Weekend with the Stewart's

I have let myself get behind on blogging.  I had a lot of pictures to upload and that often makes me not as eager to sort through them:)

Our friends the Stewart's came to GA at the end of their Spring Break to visit us!  I always worry when having people come stay about how it will work out, will I have what we need, what we will do, and will they be comfortable.  I am not sure why I worry when the Stewart's come visit because it always seems to work out!  The kids really do well and that is saying a lot when you have 5 kids 8 years old and under.  We met Josh and Becky when we were in college.  Jason and Josh were friends and then Josh started dating Becky and we all got to know each other through Chi Alpha.  Then Becky decided to get a degree in nursing and wanted to be a NICU nurse and I was able to help her with her internship in nursing school, pin her at her nursing school graduation, and help orient her when she started working in the NICU. Now.... she is FAR smarter than I am and a better NICU nurse than I could have ever dreamed of being.  (my day will come to get back into the NICU though:) ) Not to mention we have been at the deliveries of each others kids.  So it is always nice to be able to visit with them and just hang out.  For some odd reason though Becky and I thought it would be a good idea to stay up until 3 am talking!!!  I don't regret it though even though we were pretty tired the next day!

We spent one day in the historic district of Savannah and went to the railroad museum.  We then let the kids cool down by playing in the fountains.  Then we walked down to river street and happened upon a tour of an Army Naval Ship.  It was a good day and we saw a lot.

The next day we made a trip to Fort Pulaski and found a good Barbecue place to eat a late lunch.

We took a lot of pictures so I made an Album to share them.  As much as the kids love to play with each other and visit, we are hoping that the next visit can be Adults only and we can show Josh and Becky more of Savannah!
