Easter 2012

So I log on here to do a post and the layout and set up has changed.... ugghhhh!!!  So hopefully I can figure this out:)

Still trying to catch up and post on Easter.  We stayed here in GA for Easter and it was the start of Caden's spring break.  I know many of you are probably tired of hearing this but even though we made the best of the events and our time.... it doesn't feel like TN!  Of course that isn't really what is important about Easter either. We went through our Resurrection Eggs again this year and the boys understood it even more this year than last.

On the Thursday before Easter the story time Blake and I have been going to did their normal story time and then a small egg hunt outside.  There were so many extra kids there for this.... therefore.... they could only find 2 eggs.  That is a little hard to get these kiddos to understand when they clearly see more eggs on the ground.  She hadn't expected such a crowd.  It was still fun and nice of the library to do!

Caden's school had an Easter Egg hunt that was a "math" egg hunt.  Each child had an empty egg carton and they had to find 12 eggs.  They had to find one for each number 1-12.  Caden was the first in his class to find all of his and he was super proud of this.... even though I don't think it was a race:) It was a cool idea, I had wondered how they were going to do it.  So glad I could go see him for this.... Thanks Rebecca for watching Blake!!! :) (the school doesn't want siblings coming for most events or if I am having lunch with him etc)

Friday night we colored eggs and I tried a new method I had found on pinterest but it didn't really work like I expected.  I also let them paint a few.... also not what I expected.  They had fun.... in between the crying over cracked eggs or blue fingers.

Saturday we attempted the community egg hunt and then went to our church for the egg hunt they did.  The boys enjoyed both of them and loaded up on CANDY!  Blake didn't find an excessive amount at either hunt because he was too worried about getting lost from me.  Not much stopped Caden!

Sunday we had lunch with our neighbors, our GA family:)!  Then we hid eggs in our front yards and let the kids hunt again:)  This way we could truly hide the eggs and they actually had to look for them.

It was a good day of egg hunts and friends and candy. But most of all it was a good day because HE IS ALIVE!!!!  So thankful!!!  You can see pictures from all of this in the Easter 2012 album.
