Early Voting

I must say Tennessee has to be the easiest state to place a vote. Okay so I have only voted in FL and TN, but this was a breeze. Jason ended up with the day off to accomplish some things and we decided to go ahead and vote. He had a sample ballot and I regret to say that we didn't really do our research on the State Rep candidate. So we did what we thought best....decided we would tally how many signs we saw for the Democratic vs Republican and whoever had the most signs would warrant our vote. We had debated on just sticking with party lines or him vote for one and I the other...but the tally was much more entertaining. The Republican candidate had won and our minds were set. The kicker was when we were getting out of our car and unloading the boys the Democratic candidate himself walked to our car and greeted us. So as we walked away to go vote we decided to veto the tally and give this young guy a shot. Some may not agree with our strategy here but our main objective (that was much more of an educated choice) was the presidential election. When we arrived I thought it might not be the best idea because it looked crowded and it was lunch time with a 3 year old and 1 year old. We were in and out of there in no time. We only had 4 things to vote on and it was all touch screen computerized (as opposed to my dad who says they have 19 things on the ballot in FL). So we did our part and it was virtually painless. Not wanting to enter into any political debates here but just thought I would share our voting story!
