The second week of our trip to FL was pretty eventful. Blake started with running fever, then Caden ran fever and had to go to the doctor for an ear infection, then the biggest of all....a trip to Urgent Care for stitches for Blake. He wasn't even playing rough. He tripped on his own feet and went head first into my parents coffee table. We are very lucky he didn't hit his actual eye. It wasn't a huge cut but it was very deep the way he hit it. My mom was on her way to work but called in so she could drive us over. I felt like I was pretty calm through it but on the car ride over I realized I forgot my wallet with ID and insurance card (I grabbed my purse but not my wallet). I was too focused on grabbing shoes and shorts for Blake so he wouldn't look "trashy"....I on the other hand looked "trashy" in my cotton shorts and t-shirt, flip-flops, and no make-up. Blake was a very brave little boy. I think he knew he was in for something when we got there....he acted very nervous and kept asking my mom to "help". He did cry during the procedure but I would tell him they were making it better and he would cry and say "otay". It only took 3 stitches so not too bad. Such a trooper!
