Lucky Ladd Farm

My mom came to town for a visit and to help give me some help (thank you!!).  It was another beautiful fall day and we decided to take advantage of it.  We cleaned the house that morning (again) for a showing and then left so it would stay clean!  I had heard of Lucky Ladd Farm but we had never visited before.  That was our destination for the afternoon.

This Farm had so many things for the boys to do.  I didn't get a lot of pictures because I was busy trying to keep up with them.  They had tire swings, tires with ropes so they could climb on them, a box full of corn, a hay maze, etc etc.  When we first got there they had a Mr Science guy doing a show and the boys watched that.  It was really neat all that he did.  He did a lot of things with dry ice.  Then it was enough sitting around and learning....they were ready to PLAY!

They had several kinds of slides, but this is the only one I got pictures of them on.  We were lucky to meet up with our friends Shanelle, Maddie, and Easton again too.  This time their dad Mr. Matt was with them as well.  Once the kids saw each other they had to do everything together! Here Caden and Maddie go down the slide together...

Here Caden tries to get fancy and start flipping as they went down. The smiles on their faces make it worth the drive, the money, the fatigue of keeping up with them!

Here Blake is trying to "milk" the cow.  He did a pretty decent job at it.  I wonder if it were a real cow would he be as eager to try and milk it:) My guess is no!

Caden's turn to "milk" the cow!

Riding one of the Tractor rides....this one was for the little ones and they rode in these barrels.  The other ride was behind a tractor in a big trailer....it was packed full of people and not as fun as the one at the Ring Farm (that is just my opinion).... other than that, there is more to do here than the Ring Farm.

Above, Maddie and Caden.
Below, Blake and Easton

They also have a large petting zoo here. You can feed goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, llamas, baby cows, etc

Mr Matt came in pretty handy as well.... he buried each of the kids in the corn.  It was much easier in corn than it is in sand.  Blake was the only one that didn't get completely covered because that kid cannot stay still and gets so tickled... Mr Matt gave up!  Caden did well though!

We had a great day.  We probably played there over 4 hours!  I wish I would have gotten more pictures of some of the other things but it was enough just tying to keep up with them.

Here are two videos of the boys coming down the slide...

Jason would have really loved this place with the boys!  We missed having daddy there too!
