First Field Trip

Caden had his first field trip with school. He was excited about being able to ride the bus!

They had their field trip to the Ring Farm.  It is open to the public in October (we had gone with friends) but they stay open for some of November for field trips.  This day ended up being overcast and very cold!  They kids didn't mind though and had a lot of fun.

They started with a tractor ride around the property and then they stopped and let each kid pick out a pumpkin.  Blake was so excited to be able to tag along and pick out a pumpkin of his own too.
Blake thought he was big stuff being with kindergartners!

Next came the educational parts that made it a field trip for school.  They had a lesson on different kinds of cows.  They each had the chance to try and "milk" the cow.

Then they learned about growing corn, the different parts to an ear of corn, and how many rows of corn are on an ear of corn.

They all had a lot of fun.  I almost froze!  I had to wash their shoes, coats, and clothes as soon as we got home....but I guess that is a sign of a good time! I am very thankful that I do not have to work and was able to go along with him!
