Daddy's helpers

The weather was so nice this weekend. It was warm and the sun came out. The boys had tons of outside time and got dirty and smelly like all little boys should. On Sunday Jason got out to plant some apple trees he just bought (cannot wait for them to produce). When the boys got up from their nap they went out to see daddy and were very impressed with the holes he had dug.

I have no idea why Blake was giving us his "cheese" face in this picture, but it always makes me laugh. He was probably plotting what kind of trouble he could get into.

Such as this picture where Blake is trying to crawl in the hole. It was either that or step into the hole. He had a good time putting his snack down in the mud and also putting the dirt daddy had dug out back into the hole.


Caden took the job seriously and was trying to help daddy dig the hole deeper. He is a big help. He was also impressed with the worms daddy had found.

After the trees were planted they ventured down to the creek just below our house. They found a craw fish and some other "slug" thing. They had a lot of fun outside and exploring with daddy.


All this outside time is fun and sure does tire them out. It has made me change up routine though because a bath is mandatory before they can come in and eat dinner....boy do they stink and Blake especially was covered in mud.
