Date Night - Grand Ole Opry

Living away from free babysitters (aka grandparents) our dates are limited and have to be planned well in advance. Several months ago Jason planned for us to see Carrie Underwood at the Grand Ole Opry. We coordinated it with my mom and she got back from El Salvador in time for us to have our date.

Neither of us really knew what to expect and I think we were a little surprised. Guess we should have paid more attention to the shows they play on GAC or on the radio. I thought we would see alot of Carrie Underwood (and Josh Turner). It was a 2 hour show and we saw Carrie and Josh for maybe 15 minutes.....and we saw a lot of old people that we should have been "honored" to be in their presence. It was a neat experience and a good night but just not exactly what we had thought.

We ended the night well with chocolate at the Melting Pot in downtown Nashville.

Blake knew we were getting ready to leave so he didn't want to leave my side when we were trying to get a picture....we snuck away during bath time:) It is always hard for me to leave them because I worry for the sitter. Thanks OME!!!

I also know I haven't been the best about posting so sorry if any of you have been checking:(...I either haven't had the energy or I was ready to head to bed at night to read more of the "Twilight" series. I am between books now (which I am about to go start #3). So, I will try and keep updating because I got some cute pics from our weekend...lots of outside time with such beautiful and warm weather!!

I have always wanted to go to the Grand Ole Opry. That is really cool that you got to go. But it is kind of funny that they were showcasing Carrie Underwood, but she was only on stage for just a few minutes. I was it was a lot fun though.

P.S. How do you like the Twilight series? Some parts of it I love, but other parts of the series are kind of odd to me. Overall though, I enjoyed reading them. Hope you do too!
