You would think I am asking him to eat worms!! I have always struggled with Caden and his picky eating. Even from the beginning when he was on baby food you had to be very creative to get the food in him. I will be the first to admit that I didn't push the issue (or at least stick with it) and I have catered to it some. It truly bothers me though so I am trying a new tactic. One thing Caden does like is chocolate chip cookies or brownies (who doesn't). So the deal was what ever I fix for supper goes on his plate and he has to try it. He doesn't get the dessert if he doesn't try it. The first week actually went pretty well and he ate everything I had put on his plate (which mind you wasn't very much and it still took a lot of coaxing). However as we approach the end of week 2 (we haven't had cookies this week, it was some other treat) things haven't gone as well. He will gag on things like just plain noodles and he wants everything dipped in ketchup. I am not giving up but man this is tiring! I have heard all sorts of advice like he will learn to eat more or he gets what he needs, but I would just like there to be more than a dozen things in his diet. He is even tired of the same old things. I figured if I could just get him to try some different things he may like them. It is so hard to know if the gagging is genuine or just a ploy or would he even admit to me if something wasn't all that bad. Well, the battle will continue. If any moms out there have any tips that have worked for them I am open to suggestions. If your kids have always eaten whatever you put in front of them....I would rather not know:)

Mandy is my pick one. Getting her to eat is SO hard and frustrating. I don't really have any advice for you because honestly I've almost given up on ever getting her to eat more variety. She does take a vitamin everyday, so I'm hoping that helps.
Hilarious...only b/c I can relate so well. Elise is impossibly picky; Audrey on the other hand will stuff her face w/ just about anything. I think you have the idea down - just stick with it. I don't know what will happen either, I'm still waiting for that day when E gives it up and just eats. I do think she's improved, but still in comparison to A, it still looks pretty picky. Don't let him win!! :)
