If we had known then what we know now.....
We have heard about the Pupkin Fest and how it is so worth going so we really wanted to give it a try this year. We also had to take the boys to the Ring Farm because it was the last weekend for it and we had told them over and over we would go. We pass by it often because it is so near our house. We kept waiting because we didn't want it to be hot when we went. So we decided....sure we can fit it all into one day.
Honestly it wasn't even that what we did was so hard but the crowds at the Pumpkin Fest were totally unreal!! I never expected it to be that crowded. Also, the things that used to be free which made it worth going are no longer free....therefore we spent money we hadn't intended to spend. The boys did get to enjoy some of the bouncies and we experienced it but seriously doubt we will do it again!!
The boys didn't wear their costumes to the pumpkin fest but I did put them in their batman and superman shirts. Jason and I "dressed up" this year by wearing Wonder Woman and Green Lantern t-shirts....one big Superhero family! The middle picture hopefully can give some idea of the crowd....it is downtown where there is a Square and four roads closed coming out from the square....they all looked like this. We did finally manage to get some food but totally settled for hotdogs because it was quickest option. Madness I tell you total madness!! I do well with crowds but after this I was done!
ON A BETTER NOTE.....
We went to the Ring Farm that afernoon and it was PERFECT!! The weather the crowd everything was great. We totally could have just saved a lot of money and gone there. This year they let you pay to get in and you get a band that can get you back in if you decide to leave. The boys love to just run around and it is nice that you can let them and not worry. They can do the big slide over and over and over again! They had a blast running through the corn maze with some little kids they knew from church (I didn't really know them but recognized some of the moms). It was a great way to end the day!
Not sure how well you can see their faces but the smiles when they come down the slides is priceless!
We took the one picture last year and got another one this year. They grow up so fast. The height of course changed but I am just always amazed when looking at pictures like this how much they now look like little boys and not babies.
This was a great day even though it was very busy. I think we wore Ome out but we were so glad to have someone here to share it with! Thanks for coming!
