The Tall Ships Challenge was in Savannah a few weeks back and we were heading downtown for a Savannah Sand Gnats game anyway so we stopped down by the river to see what we could see. You have to pay to get right up to the ships (something like $25 per person) and then you have to pay extra I think to get on them. We really just wanted to see what it was all about. We were able to see a few of them and it was pretty cool. Here are just a couple of pics we took....
When walking back to the car we passed this red car and Caden stopped and said "Is that car in jail?" Well, that is a good observation and basically.... yes it is :) Some people walking by heard him when he said it and had a good chuckle.
We met some friends from church at the Sand Gnats game and it was more fun than I expected. It was a nice night to sit outside. I have never been a huge baseball fan, but with the boys playing T-ball this year they are more interested and it makes me more interested. However, they did loose their interest pretty quickly and my ipod became a source of entertainment. They also did a lot of running around too....lucky for us it wasn't too crowded.
Blake is the only one we could get to pose for a picture with the Mascot!
Here they are waiting for the highlight of the night.... all of the kids get to run the bases after the game on family nights. They asked over and over during the game if it was time yet....
They each get to say their name in the microphone and run the bases.... Caden was disappointed they had a rule for no sliding into home.
It was a fun night and we hope to go back for another game.... definitely more fun if friends are with us though!
