Passing the time

So on Sunday afternoon after Jason had been home I decided to try and take the boys to a free event at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.  I really wasn't sure how we would fill our day and I knew my spirits may be a little low.  I was really thinking I had created more stress for myself as we attempted to find this place.  Jason has my GPS and I had written down directions but they weren't working for me.  Then we get there and there were a lot of people.

They have been having a train exhibit so that was our first stop....

They really enjoyed that.  It was so hard for me to keep up with them though.  They would find a train they liked and they would then want to follow it around the entire structure.  So much for my strict instructions to "Stay with me!"

Then we decided to walk around some.  We walked some on the sculpture trail and saw some interesting things....
A large rabbit/human thing made of steel wire (I think).  Pretty cool but kind of creepy too.

A Glass bridge.  I thought this was pretty cool too.

That was all I got pictures of on the trail.  Blake started complaining about walking and one of them needed to go to the restroom.  So we found one in the big Plantation Home/Museum.  I didn't hang out in there long with them.  I knew my limitations and me with them in a museum was one of them!

It was great weather and it really is a neat place.  I am glad I didn't pay for us all to get in because it is expensive but I think the boys enjoyed it.  This is one of those places that I would love to visit with just Jason on a very pretty Fall or Spring day and just walk around and picnic. Don't get me wrong....I made good memories with my little boys too but I wouldn't say I was relaxed:)
