Public Service

Wow...I didn't realize I hadn't posted these pictures.  I knew I was a little behind but didn't realize how far behind:)

Anyway, two weeks after Jason had left he was able to come home for a weekend.  I guess I should really clarify and say he came home for 36 hours.  He got home late Friday night and left early Sunday morning.  It was still great seeing him and having time as a family!  I let him decide what we did Saturday.

If he would have stayed in GA he had planned to go volunteer at a National Park in the area.  So, he decided we could go visit a Civil War Battlefield near us and also volunteer for National Lands Awareness Day (or something like that....cannot remember the official name of it).  We didn't get there as early as we had hoped but it still worked out well.  We got there and signed in and they sent us to help the group that was picking up trash in the woods.  The boys wore yellow vests (so they didn't get lost in the woods) and they worked hard getting the trash up.  Some of the trash was pretty large too.  We probably only worked for about an hour but that was really about all the boys could hang anyway. They definitely were the youngest volunteers by many years:)  Then they provided lunch for all the volunteers.

It was a good day!  After they worked hard and ate we did treat them by taking them to the park.  It was great having daddy home for a quick visit.

On our way home Blake treated us with something he has learned at school:)
