Ham Festival

The Ham Festival was this past weekend and the boys were so excited. Okay, Jason and I were looking forward to it too. Last year we went to a lot of festivals around and found which ones we liked and which ones we would not be going back too. We like this one because it doesn't break the bank and there is a lot for the kids to do...not just craft vendors (which I like to look at but rarely buy). The weather was beautiful! Many local businesses and churches set up games for the kids and bouncies. Then we sat on the hillside and ate our snacks and let the boys play. We are able to go home for a nap and then we went back that evening for the last band to play and to watch the fireworks. The fireworks really impressed me last year and were just as great this year. I wouldn't have expected it from a local festival like this but they really are great. So any of you who want to visit us in October....next year the first weekend of the month come join us and we can take you to the local Ham Festival:)This picture we had to get Caden to come back down to try and help Blake get up....poor guy gave it his all.  There is only a few pounds difference in them (if that anymore).  Notice the head of the young girl coming over the other side to help rescue Blake and give Caden some assistance.

I cannot fail to mention that it was also Ome's Birthday on this day!  Happy Birthday Ome!

Great pictures--I love that one of Caden trying to help Blake, so sweet. But are you kidding about the "Ham" festival? Do they serve lots of ham? That sounds almost as funny as Goat Day. :-)

No Angie....no kidding....it is the Ham Festival. Yes, you can get samples of ham and they have a food vender that has ham sandwiches and ham biscuits!
