Beautiful Reminders
It has been a pretty trying week for me for some reason. Nothing really big or bad has happened, just I have been less patient than I would like to be especially with the boys. Blake has been a little fussier than usual or harder to please and was running fever. Caden constantly wanting to go somewhere or play with someone (yes, mom I know I was the same way as a kid).
Wedn afternoon I had to head out that afternoon to get some Motrin for Blake (had to throw ours out due to recall). On our way home an afternoon shower popped up, yet the sun was still shining. I looked over and saw a beautiful rainbow. I showed the boys and Caden was very excited. At one point we could see its perfect arch and Caden wanted to drive under it. He also kept asking where the pot of gold was....if I knew believe me I would have gone straight to it!! When we got home we could actually still see it so I tried to get a few pictures.
I haven't seen a rainbow in a very long time. It is such an awesome reminder to us of God's love and promises to us that we know he will never break. It reminds me of his perfection and all my imperfections. In this weeks devotion I was reminded of how we cannot measure the greatness of God (Ps 145:3) BUT as we draw closer to him he will come closer to us. I am working on this day by day. I could benefit from seeing rainbows a lot more often:)
