Last weekend we decided to head out for ice cream. The boys were very excited because we let them pick what kind they wanted and what they wanted in it. (normally they share with us or it is a McDonald's cone because we have a coupon). The only ice cream shop we have is a Marble Slab which is great because it is good but not that great for the wallet:)
Anyway, it is fun to see that Caden has my tastes and Blake has his daddy's tastes. Caden wanted chocolate and Blake wanted pink (which really means strawberry or fruity). I am very predictable when I get ice cream. My all time favorite is cookie dough and if that isn't available it would be cookies 'n cream. At Marble Slab I love the cake batter ice cream with cookie dough mixed in....Mmmmmm!! Jason varies in what he gets but usually has some sort of fruit mixed in it. So, Caden ordered Chocolate ice cream and chocolate chips mixed in (a little much even for me but he liked it) and Blake ordered Strawberry ice cream with gummy bears mixed in it. Of course ultimately what they really want is the cone! They ate some of the ice cream, daddy helped and eventually we scooped the ice cream out and they thoroughly enjoyed their cones!! The funniest thing was how quickly the sugar hit their systems. They just started running in circles.
This was a fun, spur of the moment outing for a summer evening. It is so fun to watch them enjoy life and find joy in the little things and small moments. You can see the video here if you go to the bottom where the videos are.
