It may seem silly to come to FL fom TN to have swim lessons but I have so much confidence in Mrs Janet that I really wanted Blake to take with her too. Caden's taken lessons from her for 3 years now and after the first year I was so pleased with the results. I am just as pleased after this years too. It is amazing the difference in Blake from day 1 of lessons and then again on day 4. Another perk of coming to FL for lessons is it does give us a reason to come and stay for 2 weeks to visit family and friends. I have gone non-stop the whole time.
Below are some pictures from lessons and there are more in the June album.
Here they are practicing their kicks on the side of teh pool.
This was the first day they go into the deep end. Many didn't realize what they were in for next. But all of them did very well.
Just love this next picture. I looked down and saw Clemintine holding Caden's hand. I think she was trying to comfort him (or herself) in case he was scared. She is one of the sweetest and most encouraging little girls.
Blake waiting in line to swim the width of the pool. Out of all the things they did in lessons this was his least favorite thing to do. I think he just got scared because it was a longer distance and he would get scared he wasn't going to make it. Mrs. Janet is in the pool with the little ones and brings them up halfway and then they go the rest of the way. He did it great and without fear on the last day. He wouldn't cry but when he saw the others doing it he would tell me "I don't want to do that."
Caden swimming the width of the pool. He is a little fish and by the end of this year he was swimming the length of the pool (with a little help by Mrs Janet).
Both boys swimming during free time at the end of lessons one day.
The following video is from day one. Blake went willingly to Mrs Janet on his first turn but by his 2nd turn he didn't want to go to her. He did really well but he wasn't thrilled. Caden cried the entire hour his first year so I was pleased we didn't have a repeat of that with Blake. He did stop crying between turns:)

Amazing the difference between day 1 and Day 4 when she throws them in the deep end. I am so proud of how well he did. It looks like it is taking everything in him to get to that ladder.

This is of Caden swimming in the deep end. He could do this before lessons started this year but he improved so much over the two weeks and got a lot more confident. He is now trying to dive in, do flips, and touch the bottom of the pool.

They're doing great! Will and Anna have been taking lessons (Anna is just doing the survival swim lessons where she learns to float). Anna cries pretty much the whole time, but Will is loving it. We found a good teacher here, but Mama told me I should just let them come to B-town to stay with her and take lessons from Janet.
that's awesome!
