My 1st Farm

The County fair is here again and the boys had a blast! We went last year the weekend after we moved here so we were looking forward to going again with the boys. We were supposed to go on Tuesday night but due to my condition...we had to wait a night. I will say for me it was a good time to attend the fair because I wasn't tempted at all by all the fair food! Anyway, one event we enjoyed last year was the "My 1st Farm" exhibit. Caden remembered it from last year and it was one of the first things he wanted to do. They go in and get a basket and apron and start through their day on the farm.


They go in and get a bag of corn and soy beans and put it in their basket.



The next stop they feed the chickens some of their corn and they have to gather the eggs and put them in their basket.



After the chickens they stop by and apple orchard and pick apples. Then they get to climb on a big John Deere Tractor. They then have to go and plant their corn and beans and they have a place where they have to pick their crops...they get a potato, tomato, and green pepper. Then it is off to feed the cow the rest of their corn and milk the cow.



When they have finished all their hard work they go to the Market and sale all their goods (put the eggs, apple, veggies, basket, etc away) and they get paid!!! They then go to the General Store where they "cash" in their earnings. They got to choose an apple, ice cream sandwich, carton of milk, or animal crackers. Caden chose and apple and Blake the ice cream sandwich.
