My 32nd birthday has come and gone. I must say that I have always anticipated the next year. I haven't encountered an age that I dreaded, but I haven't really had an age that I would want to do over either. I have just taken each year for the joys, trials, lessons, adventures. This year did hit me a little differently but I couldn't really say why.
Caden's biggest question was if he was going to get a goody bag. I tried to explain I wasn't having a party and that you don't always get goody bags at parties. Jason tried to let the boys in on some surprises. It was so funny to watch them try and sneak around not so discreetly. Caden would say "I have a secret for your birthday" and Blake kept telling me that he was going to bake me a cake. What he really meant was they had a cake for me. My mom (she is wonderful!) had ordered a cake and had Jason pick it up for us. We were able to share it with neighbors.....we knew we didn't need to eat it all:)
It was a good day! I am looking forward to this year and what it will bring
