It is a lot of work to get everyone dressed and ready to play outside in freezing temperatures.....and never knowing how long they will stay out. Many times it takes longer to get them (and myself) ready to go out than they end up staying out.....argh! But, with daddy they seem to stay out longer....daddy's are a lot of fun. We didn't get enough snow to really sled down the grassy hills but the drive was covered enough and has enough of a slope for some fun. Jason also pulled the boys up the drive to get the mail in their sleds. Blake couldn't hang as long as Caden did but they both enjoyed it.
I am not a fan of the super super cold weather but I do hope for at least one more snow day that will give us an inch or two so they can really get out and play. This past weeks weather was nothing like we had last year. It started Thursday when we were supposed to get a few inches (we ended up with less than an inch), and Friday and Saturday's temps never got over 20 or 22!!! We had flurries both of those days. There are a few small ponds near here that just today really thawed out.....it was a heat wave today we reached 45 (I think). It definitely makes me thankful that I do not live further north where they get FEET of snow that lasts for many many months out of the year. We have had enough inside entertainment and I am really hoping the boys can get outside the next day or so.
Blake decided that my hat was "his" hat....it is pretty cute!
Caden didn't want his picture taken!
