Well, we are pretty much set for our next trip back to FL. Everything should be in the car but it is atleast by the door. I should be in bed but for whatever reason am on the computer. I have packed for me and both the boys, snacks, blankets, diapers, set extra clothes out, etc, etc, etc. Not to mention the gifts, which actually isn't too bad this year. Am I looking forward to this trip??? In some ways. Of course I enjoy seeing family. I may actually see some sunshine and a little warmer weather. (sorry to those of you Floridians who want cold) I am looking forward to watching Caden enjoy the excitement of Christmas. Blake will not totally get it but I am sure he will love all the activity as well and the toys. Sadly, I am looking forward to it being done with. Knowing that hopefully next year we can begin a tradition of our own. We have said it in years past that we would start doing Christmas at our house as the boys got older and every year we have put it off. I will miss having all the family around and I will miss the hussle too I am sure, but I look forward to experienceing Christmas with my boys the way I remember it growing up. We would love to have anyone who wants join us, but then we also know that is to say "we will stay home and you can travel". However, we have now been married for ten years and have never had a Christmas morning in our home. I think this is part of the territory with being married and living away. I may totally realize that not matter what you do it will never be like when you were a child. Hopefully I haven't offended anyone who may read this, but it is my place to express:)
I truly hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas. Remember those who aren't able to be with family, who are overseas serving our country, who are sick and in the hospital, etc. I want to wish my brother Paul a very Merry Christmas!! Perhaps this is the first one that we haven't seen each other. Anyway, hopefully he can have a truly wonderful El Salvadorian Christmas this year (is it Feliz navidad?) Know that we love you!!!
I cannot wait to hear how everyone's holiday was and I will be sure to post pics as soon as I can. Pray we have a very easy drive!!
