This Florida girl is out of her element. I have seen snow before but never actually coming down and sticking. These were big snow flakes and it came down for almost 2 hours. Many of you who have lived in snow or seen it are probably thinking this is not a big deal or anything to write home about....but I am just wondering how our winter is going to be. So many say it doesn't snow here much and if it does it doesn't usually happen until Jan or Feb. Needless to say the boys were excited and Emma and Lilly were here and they were very excited of the idea that school could be cancelled. Blake didn't care to be in it....he doesn't like rain or anything of the such hitting him in the face. I don't know that he really knew what to do with all the excitement. Caden, loved it. Jason had to go out of town for a meeting (about 2hours away) and should have been home around 6:30 if all had gone well, but it took him 4 hours to get home. I let Caden stay up until he got home and he immediately wanted to go out in the snow with daddy. I put his shoes on (no....not his crocs) and his coat and sent him out.....we weren't looking but when we looked he was laying in the snow and waving his arms and legs....making a snow angel. I have no idea where he saw this. I don't think he expected it to be so cold because he got up so quick we couldn't get a picture and he wouldn't do it again. He did make a few snowballs. It will take getting used to though because he cried when we came in and his hands were burning as they warmed up.
So, our first snow here in TN! I will admit that it is pretty when you look out the window. Actually, it is very beautiful how the snow covered ground makes everything look so bright. God is amazing and too often we don't take in the beautiful things he shows us in life (or at least I know I don't always) I just have no idea how to dress for it, drive in it, prepare for it, etc etc etc. Jason says it will melt fast and may not be here tomorrow. I am sure then we just have the slush to look forward to. Maybe I will even be able to see the beauty in that :)
