Good times

A rare moment of sitting. Blake, Caden, Tristan
Mimi and Blake
Cousins/buddies.....Tristan and Caden
Me being silly for a pic....it is rare I would post one of these
It was a good weekend of family. Jason's parents and our nephew visited us for a few days. It was busy and not very quiet but a lot of fun. When you don't know many people around it is nice to have the company. Our nephew Tristan and Caden loved playing together and fighting together. When apart they always ask for each other. I hope they keep a good relationship because I know how special it was to grow up with cousins so close. I wouldn't trade the friend I have in my cousin Lynette....we had the same kind of relationship that Caden and Tristan have....a love/hate one, but I am very glad to say that now it is all love :)
On Saturday we enjoyed the pretty fall day and went to a park with the boys. A lot of leaves have fallen, but there is still a lot of pretty fall colors. It is amazing how vibrant some of the leaves are. Isn't God amazing in how beautiful nature is if you stop and take it in. It is easy to just let it pass you by.
Sunday wasn't as pretty of a day but we still made the best of it. It never got above 43 and the sun never showed itself. However, I got to take a nice long shower without anyone bothering me and that can make most days pretty good. Jason and his dad had some bonding time shooting skeet. All of the boys took a 3 hour nap!! Oh the things we learn to appreciate :)
Anyway, it was a good weekend and very hard for me to see it pass. Moving away puts a different perspective on so many things. There is that gut feeling that you get that isn't so pleasant when you have to see friends and family drive away. I am thankful that I have something to look forward to because one of my best friends is visiting next weekend....cannot wait to see you Kara.
