A Different Week

This past week was much different than what I have had since January. I had a semi "forced" break from the gym due to other obligations. I kept our neighbors girls (10 and 7) all week for their spring break. There were moments I thought...this isn't so bad and there were moments I knew 100% I am not cut out for day care. On Monday it was raining and very cold so we went to the Discovery Center and Chick-fil-a....lets just say when we got home everyone took a long nap. The rest of the week we were able to get outside at some point during the day so that was a huge help. I think the girls and my boys had a lot of fun!! The girls will probably be moving sometime soon and my boys are going to miss them terribly. We are just praying that the right people or person will move into the house.

As for the gym...I think my body and probably my mind needed the break. As some of you know I just completed a 12 week "boot camp". The gym has been a huge part of my routine for many years so when we moved it was important for me to find somewhere I enjoyed as much as I did in Tally. I succeeded in that and am so thankful for it (the boys love it too)!! The 12 week commitment was 4 days with a trainer and 4 or 5 other ladies and 2 other days of cardio on your own. We did strength training and cardio. I can tell I got stronger and I did loose body fat. I have dealt with some disappointment in my results but am accepting it. It is so hard having struggled with my weight in the past to face it again. When you work that hard every day and cut your diet in the ways they said....I wanted "big" results. So it was back this morning for Dance party and sculpt. I am going to just try and relax and have fun as I workout. The best thing right now that comes from it is it makes me a better mommy....it helps me release stress and allows the boys to socialize.
