Canoeing

OOOPS!!  I forgot to post about our chance to go Canoeing!  A few weeks back Caden spent a few days with Jason's parents and we just had Blake.  Our great friends Darryl and Liz suggested a canoe trip.  We have known Darryl and Liz since well before the boys were born.  They lived in FL and Darryl and Jason worked together.  They moved up here before we did and it takes us about an hour to get to their house.  They are the type of freinds that we cherish and learn so much from and hope to always always stay in contact with!!  Needless to say we feel very blessed that God put them in our lives!  We take any chance we get to hang out with them!

Okay....now back to the trip.....we could take Blake or not but they probably weren't taking their kids SOOO that was a no brainer....Blake got to enjoy the day playing at their house with their kids.  They have several that are old enough to babysit so they all pitched in and helped watch Blake.  This was such a treat for us.  We have been able to meet Darryl and Liz for dinner on occassion but this was the first time we have been able to do something like this with just us 4!  I am so thankful it worked out!

The river we went on was beautiful!  We haven't been able to Kayak or canoe up here much but the rivers we have even seen aren't clear.  This one was very clear and the scenery was so pretty.  I look forward to doing this river again and it is one we could easily take the boys on too! 

Above is a rock cliff that Darryl jumped off of....CRAZY!  I couldn't do it.  It was deep enough but I just know I couldn't have made myself jump:)  The landing sounded like it hurt!
